    His Real name is Samuel Langhorne Clemens Born in Florida, Missouri, brought ulp on the banks of the Mississipi River. Died in Redding, Connecticut. A famous humourist, a ¨travelling correspondent ¨ popular public lecturer, and above all, a satirist who revealed the hypocricy of people and fought for everybody's freedom. he is called the true father of mordern American Literature.

    Samuel Langhorne Clemens grew up in Hannibal, Missouri, a small sleepy twon on the Missisippi. his father was a poor storekeeper who also practies law. He died when Sam was only twelve. That is why her never finished elemntary school. he learnt mostly from his observation of people and events, from the school of experience and by reading books.
